Very hard to do so, very hard to forget when you are sitting in front of the TV frantically trying to get in touch with friends and close ones and failing; not knowing whether it was because of the communication blackout or because of the unthinkable. Having to watch aghast as the news announcers report more blasts.

So yea, I don't think anyone's in a position to forget.

can't forget...especially the government's inaction and soft approach towards terrorism. Note columnist Sekhar Gupta calls it reverse communalism. Multiple terrorist attacks on Indian soil and response is now becoming familiar and disturbing:

1. Blame the "foreign hand (read Pakistan)."
2. Set up a high level task force.
3. Caution against "stereotyping" a particular community.
4. Ask Madam!

Its ridiculous that in such high profile crimes, the police and politicians can get away with making sweeping statements and unverified accusations. I mean a simple emergency reponse process mandates that people with authority (Commissioner, CM,...) state the facts, define the exact immediate response to the event and speel out the expectations from the public. Even after facing series of such calamities (natural and terror related), the government continues to be infantile in its response and decision making. Shameful.
The way the injured were hauled from the blast sites by people, though makes for great TV, hardly ensures that they would make it. Where were the ambulances to save them and police to stop people from trampling all over the crime scenes.

BTW, my roomie's friend is still in coma - 1 year after the incident.

Did they find out, definitively, who did it?

Its such a hard thing that Bombay had to face- repeated history. Atleast no goddamn riots this time arnd! Govt has done squat all for anyone as usual and its such a sad state of affairs for all concerned. I am being biased but is it the same in the West- the same apathy reflected?
