At 2.32am, per TV channels, 163 dead. 11 minutes, 7 blasts.
At 2.32am, per TV channels, Western Railway's locals between Churchgate-Bandra, Vasai-Virar and other routes have started functioning.
I've just come back home after seeing scores of people on the road offering bottled water, parle-g biscuits and even cooked meals in small packets to each and every vehicle they can stretch their hand to. They were everywhere. And they're still there as I type this.
My thanks to that awesome lot at Mumbai Help for making those calls. Bloggers - you rock. Awesome work.
Head over to Desipundit for their sticky post on 11/7.

Horrific and barbaric. The spirit that this great city, my city, has shown in dealing with this tragedy should now make sure there are no communal riots stemming from this. That would be playing into the hands of the wicked scumbags who planned this.
Hey Man,hope u guys are doing fine....i hope the spirit of Mumbai will rise...like allways...
Purush - sher, yes it was all of that and more. Another sickening sight was Laloo, Sonia and Shivraj at the hospitals creating more chaos and diverting police resources required for rescue.
Sometimes I feel we're just too soft. Sometimes I feel we could be like the Israelis and the way they go after their enemies. Mixed feelings as always at times like this.
Epiphany - thanks yaar. I salute the spirit as well but how I wish the same spirit could hunt the ass down of the b*ds who did this, because the politicians and cops with their combined strength won't be able to do jack-shit, considering that they've still not been able to do anything in the 12th March 1993 blast case.
Will tell her. Amazing work you guys are doing on Mumbaihelp. Let me know if I can be of any use. Next time you are stuck in South Mumbai, dont hesitate and just come over to my house. Some friends had done that yesterday.
I agree we are a soft state. We need to empower agencies like RAW, or intelligence agencies of the army, to go apeshit on the ISI, or these mujahideen outfits. You know, inure our agencies from being too answerable to the political bosses of the day. Not a very "democratic" approach, but sometimes you have to sup with the devil with a long spoon.
Abodh - thanks. Will definitely call you next time....God knows how many more "next times" this city will have to endure.
Purush - sher, what can I say..with politicians themselves in control, is there a way to strengthen the intel ? Do read this piece in the Express today, titled Boys gone astray, Minster?
it was horrible, i was watching it on the news...but it's good to see everyone getting together and helping each other, these are the only good things to come out of something as horrible as all those innocent people having their lives taken from them.
